Police say a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for attempted murder may be in Niagara Falls.

The warrant stems from an incident on Nov. 23, when police were called to a building on Trudelle Street in the area of Eglinton Avenue East and McCowan Road.

Upon arrival, officers found a 16-year-old girl with stab wounds on her upper body and a 37-year-old woman with serious injuries. The girl was taken to a trauma centre in critical condition, and her mother was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The mother was released from hospital the next day while the teen remained in intensive care in stable condition.

The suspect was identified as Harry Rajkumar, 46, of Toronto. He is wanted for attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and failure to comply.
